WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT AND PROCESS AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE WE DO SO WHEN REMOTELY IDENTIFYING AN INDIVIDUAL
The Postal Services Act and Regulation No. 6 on postal security require us as a postal operator in certain cases to identify the users of our services depending on their capacity - senders or bearers of parcels, recipients of cash by Cash on Delivery or Postal Money Order, as well as their proxies.
When you want to send an international parcel or a COD parcel from a post office or from an address, by creating the bill of lading for the parcel yourself via the MySpeedy application, and when you want to send a parcel from an Automatic Post Station, we do not have the possibility to make the identification in person, but we have the obligation to collect and process the following personal data: three names and Personal Identification Number of the sender of the parcel.
In order to fulfill our obligations without limiting your access to the services, we have established a remote verification process whereby we will identify, at his or her request, each registered user of the MySpeedy Application based on a copy of an identification document provided by the user and a photo of the user with his or her identification document.
THIRD PARTIES WHO HAVE ACCESS TO THE PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED:
The remote identification process does not provide for access of other third parties to the processed data, beyond those specified in the Personal Data Protection Policy of Speedy AD.
The provided copies of identity documents and photographs within the period of their storage may be used only to respond to requests for information from national regulators (CRC, CCP, CPDP) in connection with complaints or other procedures brought before these authorities, as well as to provide them to other state authorities or law enforcement agencies for the purposes of tax and administrative control, safety control, prevention and detection of offences and crimes.
STORAGE PERIOD AND DELETION OF DATA
The remote identification process does not provide for different retention periods for the processed data beyond those specified in the Personal Data Protection Policy of Speedy AD.
We will not store the copies of ID documents and photos provided by you for a period longer than necessary to achieve the purposes for which we process them: copy of ID document - up to 1 working day after the verification is completed, but no longer than 10 days; photo - up to 60 days, analogous to the video surveillance recordings we process.
If the basis on which we hold your personal data ceases to exist, we will delete or securely destroy it.
YOUR RIGHTS
You retain all the rights you have in relation to the processing of your personal data collected in the process of remote identification, as they are set out in the Personal Data Policy of Speedy AD, available on the company's website.
If you wish to withdraw your consent to use the collected data for the purpose of your next deliveries, you may do so in the same way: by sending your request to Speedy's Data Protection Officer at [email protected].
If you believe that we have violated your rights in relation to your personal data, you may file a complaint with the supervisory authority in Bulgaria, which is the CPDP. For more information: www.cpdp.bg.
