Dear customers,

Resulting from the amendments of the Road Traffic Act and Mixed Taxation System based on the Different Types of Vehicles Ordinance, the vehicles are subject of toll taxation in Bulgaria in effective on 01.03.2020. Applying toll taxes to motor vehicles (lorries) it has a direct impact on the courier and transport sector.

In this context, effective as of 06.04.2020, an additional “TOLL TAX SURCHARGE”, shall be applied for all shipments, transported on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The surcharge on shipments delivered under package courier services is BGN 0.05, incl. VAT, for shipments up to 31.5 kg and BGN 0.12, incl. VAT, for shipments over 31.5 kg.

The surcharge on shipments delivered under pallet courier services is BGN 0.00372, incl. VAT, per km for pallets with outer transportation dimensions of the basis – 120x80 cm and BGN 0.00552, incl. VAT, per km for pallets with outer transportation dimensions of the basis – 120x120 cm

A new conversion factor for converting volume into kg is introduced, where 1 cubic meter = 200 kg.
