On the eve of its 15th anniversary, the largest Bulgarian courier company Speedy JSC presented 20 cars of 100% electric van Renault Kangoo Zero Emission, purchased for customer service in the central part of Sofia. With the innovative solution Speedy became the first company in Bulgaria and one of the few in Europe, which has such electric vehicles for business purposes.
"Conviction of Speedy is that the future of urban transport of people and goods is the electric cars both because of significantly lower costs and to protect the environment", said Valeri Mektupchiyan, general manager. "We have proved that we have success with the introduction of innovative solutions and we are convinced that electric vehicles for the courier business will be successful business move", he added.
For the purposes of the operation of the 20 electrical cars Speedy will use their own fixed stations located in the bases of the company, where the cars will be loaded outside their working schedule. Journalists and guests at the presentation of the Project “Speedy goes green” powered by Renault had the chance to test the characteristics of environmental vans during the organized by Speedy and Omnikar Auto test-drive in the city center.
The decision of Speedy for the purchase of electrical vehicles for business purposes is a gesture to nature, the environment and all the inhabitants of large cities where te vans will operate.
